Delicious Greek Burgers – the Easy Way!
There isn’t much I love more in the summer than a nice, juicy burger fresh off the grill. Sometimes I keep it simple, topping my burger with nothing more than a slice of melty cheese and some crisp lettuce. But other times I want to change it up and add a little something extra.
Simple and delicious BUBBA burgers are the perfect blank slate for making an epic protein-packed summer meal. Click Here To Learn All About BUBBA and you’ll see that BUBBA burgers have just one ingredient – real beef with no additives or preservatives. So as long as you have a gluten free bun, choose lettuce wraps, or just dig in with a fork and knife, you can enjoy gluten free burgers without any fuss.
Plus they go from frozen to hot and delicious in just about 10 minutes on the grill, or even in the skillet when it’s not grilling weather. That means you have plenty of time to get creative with your toppings.

For the hamburgers:
- Beef burgers. You’ll need 6 Original BUBBA burgers or one 32 oz. package.
- Lettuce. Iceberg, butter lettuce, or romaine are all great options.
- Burger buns. Regular, whole wheat, or gluten free, if needed. You can even make your own gluten free hamburger buns.
- Tzatziki sauce. It’s easy to make your own tzatziki sauce, which is a creamy Greek yogurt-based sauce with cucumber and dill. But it’s also available to buy in many grocery stores.
- Greek salad topping. So simple to make, though you could opt for simply topping your burgers with slices of tomato, cucumber, and olives.
- Crumbled feta cheese.
For the Greek salad topping:
- Grape or cherry tomatoes. Cut into quarters or even eighths if the tomatoes are larger.
- Kalamata olives. Pitted and cut into quarters.
- Cucumber. You’ll need about one-quarter of a medium cucumber, peeled and diced into about ¼-inch pieces
- Bell pepper. Half of one, diced into about ¼-inch pieces. Green is traditional in Greek salad, but you can use red, yellow, or orange too.
- Red onion. Diced.
- Olive oil.
- Lemon juice. Fresh is best.
- Dried oregano. Feel free to use fresh if you have it.
- Garlic powder.
- Salt and pepper. To taste
How to Make Greek Burgers
Chop the veggies, stir together the toppings, and grill (or cook in a skillet) your burgers. That’s all you need to do. Let’s get started.
Make the toppings. If you are making your own tzatziki sauce, shred the cucumber, salt it, and let it drain while you prepare the Greek salad topping. Add the chopped vegetables to a small bowl, pour the olive oil and lemon juice over the top, and sprinkle with the oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together. Now finish stirring together the tzatziki sauce, and keep the toppings in the refrigerator.
Cook the burgers. Preheat your grill (or skillet) to medium or about 375°F. Place the BUBBA burgers on the grill or in the skillet. Let them cook until you see juices on top, then flip and cook until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F, about 10-15 minutes total.
Gather the burger fixings. Set out the burgers, buns, and toppings on platters and in bowls and let everyone customize the way they like them.
Assemble the burgers. Place lettuce on a bun and top with a cooked burger. Add a dollop of tzatziki, some of the Greek salad topping, and a sprinkle of feta cheese. Then top it off with the bun and enjoy!
Tips for Success
Prep ahead. You can make the tzatziki and Greek salad topping up to a day in advance. Just keep them covered in the refrigerator.
Keep the burgers juicy. Only flip the burgers once, and wait until you see the juices forming at the top. And don’t press down on the burger and squeeze out all of the moisture.
Go low carb. Serve your Greek burgers on lettuce wraps or just eat them with a knife and fork.
Change up the protein. If you need a change from beef, you can make these Greek burgers with turkey and plant-based BUBBA burgers.
Make it a Meal
Whether I’m making Greek burgers for my family or a crowd, I love to serve them with some of my favorite Mediterranean-inspired sides like these:
- Toss a Salad: A fresh Greek Salad or a simple Tomato Cucumber Salad with Feta highlight summer veggies.
- Add Some Pita: Whether you use it to scoop up extra tzatziki or swap out the bun, Gluten Free Pita adds a nice touch.
- Have a Burger and Fries: You can even give them a touch of glam by making Air Fryer Truffle Fries.
