AAACK, this post disappeared. Well, not exactly, but I screwed something up. So I’ll just try to repost some of the pictures and the awesome recipe, because it has been one of my most popular. You don’t care about the fact that I whined about how busy I was and my entry into the Improv Cooking Challenge was a total cop-out. You may miss my story about how I was trying to take photos while The Bug was staring at me and whining “Want more smoooothieeee!!”

Looks good, doesn’t it?

I’ll have another.

Yum! Yum!

- 1 cup strawberries, frozen
- ½ very ripe banana, frozen
- 1 oz (about 2 T) cream cheese (I used light cream cheese)
- ½ c vanilla or plain Greek yogurt (if you use plain, you may want to add a little vanilla and you may find you need a little sugar, honey, or your sweetener of choice)
- ½ c milk of choice (I used unsweetened almond milk)
- Optional crushed graham crackers for garnish
- Place all of the ingredients except the graham crackers in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Garnish with graham cracker crumbs, if desired.
Enjoy!

This sounds amazing, love the idea of the cream cheese in a smoothie, can’t wait to give it a try!
It makes it taste way more decadent than it actually is, especially when you use some Greek yogurt for added tang.
Sometimes simple is best. This looks delicious though!

Yep, I agree. And it was quite tasty!
Love your blog title! Can’t believe strawberry season is already here! Looks yummito!
Thanks! I know – so much wonderful fruit and veggies starting to come into season!
I do believe that smoothie looks best presented in a martini glass! (That’s how I ate the strawberry ice cream I made… wished I would’ve thought to graham cracker the rim!)

I got the idea from a Key Lime Pie Martini I saw on a menu once. Can’t wait to heck out your ice cream – my favorite food ever!

Ooo this smoothie looks fantastic! Love this!
Thank you. The little guy and I were big fans.
What a fantastic smoothie! The “cheesecake” is a fantastic addition to the strawberry smoothie. Love how the graham crackers add a bit of crunch to the smoothie.

Thanks – it was a tasty change to the usual strawberry smoothie. I wish I could have tried it with the graham crackers (I have a wheat allergy), but the little guy seemed to like it. He is only 2 though, so it is hard to get descriptive feedback from him
Also, I featured your recipe on my blog today: http://thecookssister.wordpress.com/2012/05/18/five-favourites-for-friday-16/

Yes, we love smoothies, too, so I am always trying to think of something new.
Top shelf! Looks killer!
Thanks! Speaking of top shelf, this would probably be good spiked with something…
Rum has never ruined ANYTHING
LOL!! My aunt did ruin a sweet potatoes recipe that called for brandy when she used the only thing she had – an ancient bottle of BLACKBERRY brandy. In sweet potatoes! Yuck!
oh no….that does kinda sound ick…live and learn
I could drink every last drop of that smoothie this very minute! Looks yummy!

Culver’s (oh, I miss living by Culver’s!) used to have a cheesecake Concrete Mixer and I find myself craving it sometimes. This would be a MUCH healthier alternative to that! Yum.

Haha! I felt kind of bad until I saw the great response, and my recipe was quite different from the others. Always happy to bring a few dishes to the potluck, and sample some others.
Hey, just because smoothies are fairly easy to make, doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy them! I love how you styled both of these (along with your son’s comments in the background
