Peach crisp energy balls have the nutty caramelized peach flavor of a favorite decadent dessert in a healthy little bite. These are healthy no-bake snacks to satisfy those afternoon sweets cravings. For a quick snack that happens to be gluten free and vegan, whip up some Peach Crisp Energy Balls.
Time to get real. The last few months have not been a prime example of living a wholesome lifestyle. With the move and everything that has gone along with it, it’s been a series of staying up too late, not exercising, stress eating ice cream, having random crap for dinner. And while I’m not one to diet or make New Year’s Resolutions, and prefer to just adopt a healthy lifestyle, timing is what it is. Now that we are getting settled into the new home and the new life, the start of 2015 is when I will be ready to focus on getting myself back on track, starting with this latest variation of homemade energy balls!
This is why I am so excited to be cohosting the #EatHealthy15 Recipe Series with Jenny of The NY Melrose Family and Jamie of Love Bakes Good Cakes. From now through the end of January, we will each be featuring our own recipes as well as recipes from over 30 of our favorite bloggers. I’ve got desserts, you’ll find healthy meals on Love Bakes Good Cakes, and nutritious snacks on The NY Melrose Family. Make sure you follow along on all of our social media and check out the hashtag #EatHealthy15 to keep you inspired and on track with those new year, new you goals! I know I’m already inspired!
And besides all of this deliciousness, we’ve got some fun and prizes for you. I’ll tell you more about that later, after I tempt you with these peach crisp energy balls.
Why We Love This Recipe
From the day I first whipped up my Cinnamon Caramel Apple Energy Balls, my boys have been big fans of little energy bites. And Peach Crisp Energy Balls were no exception. The dates add a caramelized flavor to the dried peaches, and when you add the oats and pecans, the flavors are reminiscent of a warm, bubbly peach crisp with it’s nutty, buttery topping. But the best part is that these are guilt free snacks. No added sugar, no dairy, you can make them gluten free and vegan. And you can pop them in lunch boxes, grab them on the way out the door, or nibble on a one or two in the evening. Anytime that sweet craving hits. Because even when you are focused on eating healthy foods, you don’t want to deprive yourself of a little treat.
And remember, if you have wee bitty kids, you can make wee bitty bites. Just use about a quarter to half teaspoon to make little, tiny peach crisp energy balls.
