Yes, you can make gluten free oreo rice krispie treats as long as you use the right ingredients. Kellogg's Rice Krispies are NOT gluten free, but other brands are. And Oreo plus some gluten free banrds make gluten free chocolate sandwich cookies.
Melt the butter and add the marshmallows. Stir over low heat until melted, then add the vanilla.
Pour in the rice cereal and crushed cookies until everything is thoroughly coated.
Stir in the reserved marshmallows for extra gooey pockets.
Press the cereal mixture into a lined pan and add more chopped cookies on top. Press in so they stick.
Let them cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Cut into squares and serve. Store in a sealed container at room temperature for up to a week.
