Gluten Free Brioche

What makes brioche different from bread?

Like regular bread, brioche contsins flour, water, and yeast.  But it is enriched with eggs, butter, and extra sugar. This makes if both sweeter and lighter with a richness that you just can't resist. t's perfect for French toast!

Proof the Yeast

Add honey and yeast packet to warm milk. Stir well and allow to sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.

Beat the Eggs

In a stand mixer, beat the eggs, then blend in the sugar and oil.

Add Dry Ingredients

Pour the bag of bread mix into the mixer bowl and blend until incorporated.

Add Wet Ingredients

Blend in the yeast mixture, followed by the melted butter, to form a smooth, thick batter.

Rest and Scoop

Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Scoop into a parchment-lined loaf pan.

Rise and Bake

Let it rise in a warm place until it reaches the top of the pan. Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes.

Cool Completely

Cool the bread completely in the loaf pan, about 2 hours.

Slice and Enjoy

Use your briocjhe for French toast, or slice it and slather with butter or jam.
