A tried and true all-time favorite. It’s got the layers of pasta, meaty sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella cheese that you know and love. But there’s just something about this sauce that makes this recipe so amazing.
Cook the sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large pot over medium heat until browned.
Add the canned crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and seasonings. Simmer for at least an hour and a half.
Cook the lasagna noodles (unless you are using no-boil noodles), shred the mozzarella, and stir together ricotta, egg, parsley, and salt.
Spread sauce in the bottom of the pan and add a layer of noodles.

Add more sauce, then repeat the layers of noodles, cheeses, and sauce two more times. Then finish with a layer of mozzarella and parmesan
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
Let it rest for 15 minutes before cutting into slices and serving.
