You only need five ingredients to make this elegant and decadent pasta sauce. Heavy cream is the main ingredient to give it that rich, creamy texture. Besides that, it's simply butter, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. You can also add a sprinkle of parsley.
Melt the butter over low heat. Then stir in the heavy cream.
Then str in the salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Bring to a simmer.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese.
Return the saucepan to low heat and bring it back just to a simmer Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is velvety smooth.
Adjust the seasoniongs to taste, then serve over your favorite pasta.
Feel free to add a sprinkle of parsley and more parmesan cheese if you like.
