What makes these Lemon Bars melt in your mouth?

These dessert bars are positively exploding with lemon flavor. They have a creamy lemon filling and zest in the buttery shortbread-style crust.

MAKE THE CRUST

Beat together the crust ingredients until smooth, adding the flour and salt last. Press it into the pan.

BAKE THE CRUST

Prick with a fork and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes until golden brown.

MAKE THE FILLING

Beat the filling ingredients with a hand mixer until uniform.

FILL AND BAKE

Pour the filling over the semi-cooled crust. Bake for another 20-30 minutes, or until the filling is set in the center.

COOL AND SERVE

Cool completely and dust with powdered sugar. Slice into bars.
