Can you really make homemade gluten free burger buns?
Yes! And it's easier than you think! Just ten minutes of prep, a half hour in the oven, and a bit of resting time in between is all it takes! Let's see how to do it!
Proof the Yeast
Dissolve honey in warm water and sprinkle the yeat on top. Let it sit until frothy.
Combine Dough Ingredients
Add the dough ingredients to the bowl of a stand mixer and pour in the yeast mixture.
Mix the Dough
Using the paddle attachment, slowly increase the mixer speed and mix for 5 minutes until it's sticky but not wet.
Form the Buns
Scoop the dough into 8 patties, using greased 4-inch dough rings if you have them.
Let Them Rise
Put them somewhere warm to rise for 30-60 minutes.
Brush and Bake
Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like. Bake at 350°F for 25-50 minutes.
Slice and Serve
Let cool and slice to stuff with burgers, barbecue chicken, sloppy joes, or whatever you like!
