The sauce packs a punch that’s downright mouthwatering, and the beef ends up ultra tender  Plus you can prep the ingredients the night before and then just set it to cook. And it's so versatile with many ways to serve it!

Make the Sauce

Combine the BBQ sauce ingredients in a mixing bowl and give everything a good stir.

Add to the Slow Cooker

Place the chuck roast in the crockpot and pour the sauce over the beef. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours or High for 4-5 hours.

Shred the Beef

Remove the beef from the crockpot and shred with a fork. Return it to the crockpot and toss in the sauce.

Serve and Enjoy

Dish it up on buns and top with extra sauce and coleslaw, pile on a plate or salad, or stuff in baked potatoes or sweet potatoes.

Can you make this in an Instant Pot?

YES! Combine the chuck roast and sauce ingredients in the bowl of your Instant Pot. Set it to cook on Manual for 70 minutes.  Let the pressure naturally release for about a half hour. Vent the remaining pressure manually, before shredding the meat as directed.
