Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Is baking healthier than frying?

In a word, YES! Deep-frying in oil can nearly double the number of calories, fats, and carbs per serving!  Baking ensures they stay nutritious, but still come out crispy and delicious. Want another healthy option? Try your air fryer!

Get Ready

Gather your ingredients, preheat the oven to 450°F, and coat a baking sheet with oil.

Cut the Sweet Potatoes

Wash and cut the sweet potatoes about a half-inch wide by 3-4 inches long. Peeling is optional.

Season the Fries

Add the cut sweet potatoes to a bowl with olive oil and the seasonings, then toss to coat.

Bake the Fries

Arrange the fries in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. Pop them in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Remove from the Oven

The sweet potato fries are done when they are crispy outside, tender inside, and golden-brown.

Serve Right Away

Don't forget to dip in ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce or condiment.
