For a frozen treat on a stick that’s healthy enough for breakfast or a snack but sweet enough for dessert, it’s as easy as blending a smoothie to make these Banana Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Pops.

“Grandma, we went to Nana’s house with Daddy.”

“Oh that’s nice. What did you do?”

“She let us have some of her jewels.”

“Yeah, Nana gave me wings!”

“What kind of wings did Nana give you?”

“No, Grandma, not wings. Wings that you put on your fingers!”

“Oh, rrrrrrings!”

“Yes, that’s what I said, wings!”

Speaking of wings, umm, err, I mean rings, my sister got engaged! Her boyfriend, umm, err, I mean finace sent her off on a little family reunion with his family at an amusement park, but said he couldn’t go because of his work schedule, and then he showed up and proposed on the carousel. Isn’t that sweet?

You know what else is sweet?

As long as you use nice, ripe bananas, these Banana Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Pops are plenty sweet without any added sugar. Plus, with a simple ingredient list, they are basically as easy and as healthy as a smoothie. Popsicles for breakfast! Sounds like a plan to me. And it’s also a great way to use up any blueberries that may be starting to get a little soft, or use frozen and thawed berries if you are like me and still crave frozen treats even in the winter when fresh berries are scarce.

If you like these pops, here’s the popsicle mold I use. Out of this mixture I ended up with eight popsicles, but obviously it’ll depend on the size and shape of your molds with how many you’ll end up with. If you are trying to get rid of some berries or want to stash some in the freezer, go ahead and make a double batch. It won’t take you any extra time and you’ll be able to give popsicles to all the kids in the neighborhood.

Because Banana Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Pops will make everyone just as happy as wings, umm, err, rings. Well, I suppose unless they are diamond rings.
