A couple of weeks ago, I joined the Foodie Friends Friday group. The Foodie Friends are a group of bloggers who will each feature another blogger and one of their recipes on our blogs each Friday (or at least most Fridays) in order to potentially introduce them them to new readers. If you are interested in seeing who else is participating, or joining yourself, head on over to the Foodie Friends Friday Webpage.
This week you are going to get two for the price of one. Since I was locked out of my blog last week because it was being worked on, I could’t publish the post I had written. So this week, I will be telling you about Bridget of What’s cooking in the burbs and Angie of A ‘Lil Country Sugar.
Like me, Bridget from What’s cooking in the burbs is a stay-at-home mom on one. And also like me, she likes to experiment with old and new recipes, and is a big fan of her crock pot. I don’t use mine enough, but sometimes it is truly a lifesaver. So I was drawn to her slow cooker recipes, and had to pick one of those to feature. I decided to go with Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches, because, you know, any excuse to eat blue cheese…

This sounds so simple and delicious, and could go on sandwiches, salads, wraps, even tortilla chips. Then top it with some Blue Cheese Dressing! So good!
You can find more of Bridget’s recipes, including lots of great ones for your slow cooker, over at What’s cooking in the burbs and on Facebook.
Angie of A ‘Lil Country Sugar is a mother of three and a grandmother of two from Ohio. She has always loved to cook and bake, watching her grandmother in the kitchen she she was a child, and has a simple approach to cooking. She started her blog when she was given positive feedback about her baking. One of her recipes that called out to me was her Chicken That Bites Back. I love the sound of the sweet and spicy blend of maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and a few other ingredients, plus it sounds so easy and yet packed with flavor.
I could definitely see The Bug and The Hubby devouring this.
You can find more of Angie’s straightforward and tasty recipes over at A ‘Lil Country Sugar and on Facebook.
Tell them both I sent you
